Overview

Participants will be required to pass a practical assessment of skills, and a written or verbal examination of theory. The course is designed around the IMO Model course and is accredited with the New Zealand Maritime Safety Authority. The interactive five-day program, designed for anybody with a legitimate interest or role in port security, introduces participants to the main requirements of the Code and, through case studies, lectures and syndicated exercises, sets out the steps that have to be taken in order for compliance.
