Civil & Structural Engineering · 5 Days · Public · Al-Khobraa certified · From USD 3,900
Overview
This course provides a precise look over STAAD Pro V8i Design of sections (both concrete design and steel design). It demonstrates the steps to be followed to produce structural analysis and design of any type of buildings under any loading conditions. At the completion of this course, the trainee will be able to: Understand the basic concept of different design codes. Understand how the multipurpose finite element programs conduct the structural analysis. Understand STAAD Pro element library Understand STAAD Pro way of pre processing some special structures.
Learning Objectives
This short course is intended to overview the structural analysis and design of both steel structures and reinforced concrete structures by STAAD ProV8i. The course may be attended by civil engineers involved in the design. For those engineers with limited analysis experience, the course will provide a sample illustration of real structures that may assist the designer to understand STAAD Pro and apply it to different types of structures. The wide range of issues to be discussed, revolve around the use of STAAD Pro in structural Analysis and design of both steel and reinforced concrete structures. The examples to be used would vary from simple to complicated structures from both steel and concrete structures. Throughout the course, the instructor shall bear in mind variations in the background from education to ensuring the full participation and comprehension of all attendants.

What do Al-Khobraa civil and structural engineering courses cover?
The portfolio covers construction project management, structural design and analysis, concrete and steel technology, geotechnical and foundation engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM), quantity surveying and cost estimation, and site supervision and quality control.
Who should attend a civil or structural engineering course?
These courses suit civil and structural engineers, site and construction managers, project and resident engineers, quantity surveyors and cost estimators, QA/QC inspectors, and consultants or contractor staff delivering building and infrastructure projects.
How long are civil and structural engineering courses, and where are they held?
Most Al-Khobraa civil and structural engineering courses run over 5 days. The exact duration, dates and city for this course are listed in the dates section on this page. Public sessions run across Saudi Arabia — Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Jubail and Yanbu — as well as regional and international venues, with live virtual classrooms available on request.
What certificate will I receive?
Delegates who complete the course receive an Al-Khobraa certificate of completion, issued by a Saudi-registered training provider. Al-Khobraa also delivers internationally accredited programmes; where a course carries an external awarding body such as PMI, CIPS, ILM or IOSH, that body is named on the course's own page.
Can civil and structural engineering training be delivered in-house for our team?
